A pair of socks may seem like a small thing.  But to someone experiencing homelessness, an elderly neighbor living on a fixed income, a veteran in need, or a family struggling to make ends meet, a new pair of clean, comfortable socks can mean warmth, comfort, dignity, and knowing that someone cares.

That’s why Appalachian Soles exists.

We believe that caring for our neighbors doesn't always require something big. Sometimes it starts with something as simple and practical as a pair of socks.

Appalachian Soles was born from a simple belief:

We can all do a little something to help our neighbor.

Through the sale of quality socks at local flea markets, community events, and gatherings throughout Western North Carolina, we turn everyday purchases into opportunities to give back.

10% of every sock sale is set aside to help provide new socks to people and organizations in need.

We give because we believe our neighbors matter.

We give because everyone deserves to feel cared for.

And we give because a stronger community begins when we look out for one another.

Our hope is that Appalachian Soles becomes more than a sock ministry. We want it to be a reminder that simple kindness still matters, that neighbors can still help neighbors, and that each of us has the ability to make a difference.
